Our phased approach to upgrading includes the following:

• An initial site audit determines the suitability of existing equipment and infrastructure.
• Any field equipment that is not compatible with EST4 controls will be updated.
• A complete control unit design is created for all site equipment.
• Chubb’s team of designers and controls technicians then pre-build all other system components and software for near plug and play operation.
• Our skilled field services team will arrive at the jobsite ready to swap and test, ensuring the highest level of system integrity in the shortest timeframe.

Upgrade Process

There is more than one path to upgrade. Chubb supports all of the following (as permissible to the AHJ):

• Parallel Systems: A new system is built in parallel to the existing backbone allowing the new hardware to be tested prior to transfer of control.
• Staged takeover: The existing systems are replaced in succession and brought on to the new network. Tie points are built to allow coordinated operation between the old and new control centres
• Mass swap: The new equipment is factory assembled and programmed in advance. On the date(s) of the swap, the existing system is turned off, and the control equipment is replaced on mass scale. The new system is turned on as a complete system and configured for testing.

Maintenance & Warranty

All Chubb Systems come standard with a warranty on the material and workmanship.

When you choose Chubb as your inspection & maintenance provider you also have the option of selecting a 5- or 7- year warranty for your equipment.
